He has played piano, Hammond B3 organ, synthesizer and accordion with some of Canada’s top jazz, pop, R&B & children’s performers including Soul Stew, Martha and the Muffins, Jimmy Rankin, Greg Lawless, Mary Margaret O’Hara and Jack Grunsky. His original compositions have won numerous awards including the City of Toronto Bicentennial Song Contest and have been recorded by R&B legend Long John Baldry and jazz group Five After Four. Recently Matt’s song “Number Nine” has been featured on Jazz 91.1FM.
